I am in the process of upgrading my audio system.I have got a older kenwood excelon headunit. I recently just got my 2 12" xxx's. 2 2000 watt hifonics amps, and my yellow top optima battery.I was also going to get a 200 amp alternator for excessive amperage, then run 0 gauge wire from my battery to a distribution block then run 2 gauge to the amps. I was going to go with a ported box, could anyone recommend a box for me? does all that sound good?Or could someone give me a few tips on things i could do or add.

Any plans to upgrade the front stage? Youre gonna need something pretty loud to keep up with the XXXs. As for a box, theres quite a few people on here who will either build a box for you, or make plans for you to build it yourself.

But yeh, i think you should just get a nice set of comps for the front, dont worry about the back. Id say you should get some pretty nice comps tho bc those xxx's are gonna make you go deaf.

If you have a local shop make a box, make sure they know what they are doing. A lot of shops think there is an optimum number, as far as space, for all subs. Be very, very sure they are making it to the specs you want.
