Can a tc epic 10 be stable at 1ohm?

My amp is 1ohm stable, is it safe to run a tc epic 10 on 1ohm? Its a dual 2ohm sub so I am assuming that is possible?

I contacted the website that sells tc subs and they said a dual 2ohm voice coil epic 10 can be either wired at 4ohms or 1ohm (parallel). In order to get the right power to the sub, I need it to be 1ohm and my amp is one ohm stable. Is this correct? I just want to verify before I hit the add to cart button!

I will be giving this tc epic 10 750rms @ 1ohm from a hifonics mono amp in a small, sealed enclosure. I emailed the TC company, they said they are not responsible for a blown subwoofer when pushed past the rated RMS level, but from there experience, the epic 10 can be pushed way past whatever it is rated and typically is by people who purchase it. I was going to do the epic 8, but they said the 10 will be better suited for the 750rms.

Did not know I needed too.. thx

That epic can take a good bit more then it's rated. Just have to keep the signal clean.

The topic will be fine
Should I seal or port this? I was going to seal it at 0.7 cubes, but now im reading it should be ported around 1 cube tuned to 32ish?

Key word there is clean.
What do you mean by clean? Tune it low so its not sloopy? Sorry, I am not very smart in car audio, but I want to take the time to learn to get something of quality.

Clean is a deceptive word. Power is power. But many people (most people) conclude that it was the distortion in an amplifier driven to clipping that killed the speaker, when in reality its simply the power associated with the square waveform.

There is no such thing as a speaker being 'stable' at a certain impedance. Its either operating at a certain impedance, or its not. Its the amplifier that may or may not be 'stable'.

So a sundown amp doing 3000 is in essence the same as an audiopipe amp pushing a legit 3k?
