Can a LCD freeze?

I imagine everything can 'freeze'.. does it get cold enough during the winter where you are to freeze an LCD screen and cause ruptures? no idea... I don't know what temp it would freeze at or if the goo freezing would even expand anough to break the little chamber thingys.. Would be nice to know though.. I suppose you could try to find the 'operating' temp of a few screens and see what the low range is..

From what I have been told, no they cannot freeze.

Those cheap lil sony head units with the small lcd they sell at best arent good in the cold. It says not to use them in weather below freezing or the screen could crack. my friend has one. in the winter the image is kinda slow. since its so cold it doesnt move really quick. they recommed you warm up your car first. he's dumb though and never will. kinda like the jensen subs he's pushin with a legacy amp.
