Can a kicker zx1000.1 do 1 ohm?

Has anyone run their kicker zx1000.1 at 1.5 or 1.0 ohms? Just wondering if it's common practice and if the amp can handle it.

It should be okay. As long as you have a good electrical system (1/0 wire, big 3 in 1/0, a second battery would be good) and impedance rise during use is normal bringing actual impedance up around 2 or 3, everything should be fine.

I have not run my zx2500.1 below 2 ohm yet, but I plan to run it at 1.4 soon.

After impedance rise, you should be ok. Although I have heard that some have gone into protect. I guess its just hit or miss.
