Calling Dodge Truck Owners

There are 4 screws to remove to take it out, and there's a wire harness in the back of the HU. Not sure what you need to know from your question, but it's a standard set up in the Dodge.

True, if it is anything like my '03 regular cab, then there is one screw behind that little hook thing, then you pop off the dash and unscrew the head unit. It shouldn't be too complicated. Does that answer your question?

ok but the problem i cant get to the head unit because of the dash on you reg. cab did you have pop off the thing by the window defroster then take off both the grab handles on the doors? i did all the and i still cant get the dash to come out it is one huge piece and i must have taken out 20 screws. how did you do it

like hook where can you be more specfic? if you are talking about a 1 foot big metal thing on the very right by the door connecting to the dash then i already took the screws out of it

You must remove one screw on the bottom right corner of the center bezel. It is beside the bottom left corner of the glove box. For some reason I think that there is also a screw on the lower left corner behind the ashtray.....can't remember for sure. After the screw(s) are out, the panel is held on with push snaps and they are in hella tight. The panel almost feels and sounds like it is going to break when it is released. After that it is easy to remove the stereo.

Now for the next problem. If it is factory amplified, good luck tying into it...... your going to be better off replacing and rewiring all the speakers to the new cd player if there is not a interface available yet. Been awhile since I checked on that so it is worth looking into.

To be clear on this, there is no need to remove the entire dashboard of this vehicle to change the head unit.

what is the center bezel is it the black dash insert thing and is the screw inside of where you open up glovebox and which way are the screws facing, ive looked at all the screws i can find so im sorry if i ask alot of questions
