Calling B.S. on all these HO alternators

yeah but i don't think 30 amps, that's alot! plus i sent them my stock alt to size one up for my vehicle and they told me i have the smallest pulley on my stock that they use on their ho alts. and from what i read the only way to change my idle is through a pc for my car no scan tool :/

my car idles at 600 in drive or park, and it's located under the engine and to me gets hot too quick when i'm not bumping too hard. i understand ho alts give more heat, but mine is a BIG difference in terms of heat given off vs stock

what company?

the thing i don't like about "idle" claims is i wouldn't have brought my mechman or any ho alt if i knew they rated them at 800 rpms. my car idles at 600 and my stock gives about 30 more amps than my mechman at idle. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Annoying haveing to hold the gas just to listen to music at a decent volume at stop.
Simple solution......don't be blasting your shit at stop lights //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

that is a pretty low idle, so perhaps a smaller/custom pulley would help.

I run a single DC 275A and 9 batts in my daily set up pushing 14k of power and have ZERO issues. I demo full tilt for 5-10 minutes at a time and bring the RPM's up to around 1500.

BigJoker runs a DC alt with 5 batts and 7k of power and he demos at IDLE for 30+ minutes at time because he's F'ing deaf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

then find a pulley thats smaller than stock...

I love having a f150 i got a edge programmer can up my idle by 300rpms engine that is, goes up by 100rpms so i can idle around 950 in drive and 1050 in park if i need to ha or lower

if i keep it revved at 800 i tend to lose about .1 mpg a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif 700 doen't see a difference but still can't use a/c at idle without voltage dropping. Stock idle = 90 amp mechman = 60 idle online service book says i need minimum 90 at idle, but they said no refund b/c mine is special order what kinda shit is that? not my fault they didn't do research to see how much i NEED at idle. I was under the impression it was going to be 150 @ idle at least that's what i was emailed
