Calling all SQ competitors!!!

I get a deal on Stinger Roadkill Expert product from the shop I used to work at but its still kind of expensive. The bulk is like 9 18'' x 36'' sheets and I get that for 140 but the RAAMmat is 15'' x 50'' and is $109 a roll!!! I've used the roadkill before and liked it its just expensive. I might try out the RAAM product. Ill check out the Damplifier stuff too? What's this I hear forum members get a deal with secondskin?!?
RoadKill Expert is $3.45/sqft and RAAMmat is $1.75/sqft. I've never used RoadKill but I've checked it out and it seems to by just above RAAMmat in terms of quality. So, IMO, you're right...it is expensive for what you get. In your position...between the two...I'd get the RAAM and double the coverage. In fact, I'm pretty sure Rick would tell you to do the same thing. The foil is not the greatest and the adhesive is just kinda bla, so you really need 2x of it to try to match other buty mats.

And just leave the rear doors stock, IMO. No sense in messing with it. If you feel the outer skin needs damping after you knock test it, then open her up and hit it with vibration damper.

I would change those JL amps to audison or something like that Jl is over rated I though they were great until I got my audison amp what a difference.

i was using a 13w6v2 in a SQ setup, as stated, great sub and blended very well with the front stage, the 9887 is also a great headuntit to get ur feet wet running active, good luck and keep us posted on the install.

As for the audison amps, I've heard they were a good brand but I get dealer cost on JL and Alpine so I want to take advantage of the deal. Im getting back into car audio. I installed for 5 years at a shop in a suburb of chicago and never did anything in my own vehicle because you get burnt out when you do it day in and day out. Now I've been out of it for 4 years and want to pick car audio up as a hobby.

I think I m gonna try to make that show in June my deadline. I always wanted to compete or have a car I've built compete. So here's my chance! This is a lot more fun as a hobby then as a job!

Thanks for all your help guys! Maybe Ill get to meet some of you this year at some shows!

Im planning on using the stock locations up front. I may modify the door panel to limit any loss that may occur through the panel. the location is close to the dash in the middle of the door.

I should be starting to deaden this week. I just need to decide on a product...Im leaning towards RAAMmat right now. My drivers side of my vehicle is deadened with expert roadkill already. I was t-boned in 05 and My passenger side was totally replaced. So I need to redo the passenger side and Ill add to the drivers side.

The sub will be rear facing in the center of the vehicle in a 1.75 sealed enclosure. I can't wait to get started! I checked and I have the weekend of the 28th off in June!
