Currently I have a 4200x bridged running the fronts @ 4 ohms. It sounds great, but when I had my 2150x in its place I recall the fronts being a bit more relentless at higher volumes. My question is which amp will give me the greater power. I would have suspected the bridged 4 channel would have, but now I am starting to wonder how these amps actual ratings compare.
The 2150x shot craps on me otherwise I would be doing a live test. Now, when turning on it produces a pulsating sound that speeds up. Don't know what happens next... I only gave it a few seconds. Any ideas? Think this is a good one for my first repair attempt?
Repair and Replace vs. Leave alone ???
