Seth's GF is pretty cool. We talked abit while Seth finished up my alarm for me. Shes got a cool personality.

Uh... There's no living quarters downstairs and cars don't take showers. Why do you intend to add a shower?
there is none as of yet..

but there will be

gunna do a small sink, toilet, and stund up shower right behind the washer..

Looks good man! I actually know what goes into carpentry and I know that nothing is "easy" so good work.
yea it wasent too bad.

built my work bench last night. the hardest part i have come across to date is ancoring into the concret wall's.

Did you plow it when he wasn't looking?

I understand all of that but my question was why a shower? What's the point?

That isn't carpentry. It is framing walls and it is easy. It isn't like he is making a beautiful piece of furniture.
true that.

i dont have the skill or tool's for that...

the shower is a maybe item. i just may or may not do it..

because there is enough room downstair's to make 2 room's a bathroom, and a laundry room. it's just all about planning it out..

i still have to re-do all of the plumbing yet so once i start tearing into that and start laying out where i want hot/ cold water, ect it will give me a better idea of a proper floor plan.

and im going to move tha water heater to the left of the fernice, up against the wall.

Well now it makes sense.

A quick question now that you mention it Seth. How do you install a shower in the basement, like how does the drain work? I have a 1200 sq ft empty basement that I would like to do something with. I would like to add a few bedrooms and a bath on one side, and the other will be the laundry and family room. My sewer access is above my basement floor level, so how would I get the drain water to run uphill? Forgive my n00b-ness on the plumbing subject.

EDIT: To clarify, my city sewer access is about 3 feet above the basement floor.

well. really depends on what kinda drain, or where ur dain is for sewage in ur basement..

my drain for the toilet, shower and sink upstair's comes down threw the basement right where i wanna add my sec bathroom..

i need to replace that drain so when i do i need to decide if i am going to do a shower or not, cause if i do i need to bust up the concrete floor and runa a new drain for the shower...

so it's up in the air right now.. and on the budget...

but right now im just looking at a sink & toilet down in the basement..
