Calculating kerfed port

I start the length measuring where the curve stops, though im pretty sure the same 'ending correction' that you should use on the inside ending of the port should be applied to the kerfed area...I just let it slide

maybe just like an aeroport? or similar to an aeroport I guess lol... add an inch call it good. I'm guessing it also has to do with the radius but that's just a guess... tuning isn't an exact science most prefabs are like 45hz anyway so it's not like tuning to 34hz or 33hz is gonna make a big difference to 38hz... I've actually tuned some boxes at 42hz and they were still hella musical. in fact I think Meade's port was 40hz or close from back when he switched out his metering box with the side firing aeroports a few years back to the box with the squareish port rear firing.. just going off memory tho so not positive. but yeah I'm in the process of tuning some daily music boxes at 43hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I anticipate the volume of the boxes and the sub displacements to make up for the tuning and give me better lfe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
