is the only way to check if i wired them right is a dmm?

Are they dual 4ohm?

yes thats what i did. but my gain is all the way up and the bass boost is up 3/4 and the lpf is about half way.

i think mayb just cuz of the way u described how the gain was set...some ppl are just stickler for those things

well u got 2 subs on a mono block amp and u dont turn the bass boost and gain all the way up it must sound dirty

Just another though... have you checked, re-checked, and checked again for good measure that your subs are wired to present a 1 ohm load to the amp?

yes, i checked like 20 times before mounting the subs.

well it a monoblock amp meaning it was only meant for one sub so that prolly wy u have to turn you gain all the way up
