HUH. alum lead wire instead of copper, i havent seen copper lead wire in 10yrs.

why would anybody want to use that basket anyway it is limited to a 8" spider with 3 " coil that reduces excursion and stress's the spiders more...

You guys do know that the Owner of AQ and DD are related, as same family?

How is this not common knowledge yet?

The AQ sub is not built by DD however.

No amx amp did not like the price for the condition. Looking at other options but I will be back in the SPL lanes next year with something new.

When DD went to the current factory to have the current DD basket tooled. They paid "HALF" tooling for the baskets giving the factory the rights to sale the basket to any other company. The DD 12 spoke is very similar to the old Russian or MTX 12 spoke (the 12 spoke everyone else uses). The reason DD changed is to have a basket that had venting in the basket under the spider. Now, Audio Que went to have their current HDC3 subwoofers built at a factory (which also does work with the amplifier company that both DD and AQ uses) and if you check, you will see that most companies that use a subwoofer that is similar to the AQ also has amps built at the same plant. American Bass, SPL Dynamics, Audio Que, Digital Designs, dB Burn and so on. They chnage the voice coils and soft parts but use the same basket and motor. Now this Cadence sub is using a different cone and surround. I know who builds subs for Cadence and it is not built by the same company as AQ and the others. Also the owner of Audioque is DJ and his son is Jessa and he is the sole owner of DD.

I don't care about copy cats. I'm glad that someone out there is trying to sell at a reasonable price. Audioque has already won enough trophies to speak for the quality of their products IMO! Audioque has beat higher priced so called brands before in the Pro classes and the World Finals. I know DD is great, but what's the point of saying "why get an Audioque when you can get a DD"? My pockets aren't skinny nor fat, but it is very easy for me to pick 2 Re Mx12's over one new DD 12 because the price is somewhat similar.

Don't have to because I don't care. All I care about is a quality daily driver setup because I'll never put my subs through DB Drag abuse. I've ran DD before so I don't really know what your point is? Are you saying Aq is no good without a Db Drag trophy? If so, you're waisting your time.

You didn't call me out on anything. This is supposed to be friendly discussion. No need to try to act tough behind that computer because I'd tell you the same thing to your face. You seem kind of emotional. You still have no point Computer Rambo! Think about your flawed logic. Most here don't Db Drag anyway and those subs used are mostly spl subs with not the best Sq for daily. Audioque has been put through enough abuse to prove their quality! If you want to dispute that, I don't know what to tell you.
