cactus pf600.1

its just how usaci is. they go by power so naturally people find an edge. dbdrag is the same way but with subs. over built subs to take tons of power! either way it comes down to vehicle and box. useless arguement on either side.
Db drag and usaci guys use similar subs.

The whole 4 ohm rating thing is a complete joke though. Why bother rating an amp at 4 ohms when you know damn well nobody is going to run them at 4 ohms?

It's a completely archaic way of rating amps. Why usaci still does it when it's blatantly obvious that the amps are doing WAY more power than that is beyond any comprehension.

Db drag, especially in the lower classes, has a much more effective way of limiting power. Batteries and voltage. Sure, some guy could have 4 big amps in street c, but he's not going to get nearly the same amount of power as some of these usaci guys running 4 "600" watt amps that really do 6000 watts a piece.

correct the number will be high, but .707 is the fromula most use to get it dam near to rms
I feel lik most of you are trying to make me out to be a dumbass, and I might be wrong but if thats the case im not the only one then.
0.707 x Peak = RMS

But the problem is with double peak hold you are getting current from one point and voltage from another point in time - you are not measuring power seen at any given time as voltage and current peak at different times.

This is not a questions of Peak to RMS - it is a question of using the wrong figures for a real calculation.

I always come in 2nd at finals...mainly because I have a groundpounder and im up against burpers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif But I love the music, so it will stay that way.
i gotta say dan... i dont know much bout jeeps but your ride may not make world records but it can do hair tricks with the little of ease....

All Respect!!! You 2 15's and a (i think) 5k amp.... its not the biggest power around at all! id rather you keep it the same! I LIKE! Some of these vans cant do hair tricks like you....

jacob how strong is your 3000 watt amp really? dynamic power
Pretty strong - there are alot of tests out there on it.

In my Jeep with a True Power clamp meter (calculates both true RMS values and displays power automatically) I was seeing 4590 from each on a 16v bank at 154.3 dB -- the Jeep has done as much as 154.9 dB @ the windshield but I did not push it that far with the clamp.

I should add this is about 6 seconds into the burp with no alternator charging my batteries... six PowerMaster D1000s and two SAZ-3000Ds on the bank.

Takes the meter a while to begin it's True Power reading so I have to hold it for a bit.
