I had a member ask to have his account officially perma-banned here a couple weeks ago. He said he 'didnt want to be associated with this site'. I thought the same thing as you, voluntarily never coming back to the site is exactly the same thing as a self-appointed ban. I dont get it, but I obliged him anyway.
