You really shouldn't have to remove the the Dash to run a Power Cable through the fire wall. If you have a drop light or flashlight, look under the hood at the firewall for a rubber grommet. It may take some looking,so be Patient!
If there is a grommet that's not being used, you "may" be able to use that one.
Take something, like a wire coat hanger, put a point on an end you cut off(The longest part, and gently push it into the grommet. If there is something behind the grommet, don't force the coat hanger, you could damage something. Then go into the car, with your light and look to see where the coat hanger is comin' through. an i an Depending on the grommet size, and cable you are using, you don't want to have a Humungeous Hole either.Water and elements could get in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsdown.gif.d22f25895e9b40f2300c953691dacfa2.gif .Take some spray silicone with an extension tube, and spray the grommet where the hole is.
Next, take the cable, and with electrical tape, tape the cable to the coat hanger(couple of inches should do it).Push the coat hangerin the grommet several inches, then stop.Go into the car and grab the coat hanger and pull from the inside(Better to have a friend help you).If there is resistance pulling the cable in,then spray some silicone on the cable. This will help it to make its way thru the grommet w/o binding.Make sure you have enough cable to go to the contours of your car and to the distro blocks or amps, etc.Leave alittle more cable under the seat bottom,in case you may ever need it,and leave enough under the hood so you can wire tie the cable as you route it to the battery>Neatly, away from moving or hot spots.......And Don't forget the waterproof fuseholder within *18"* of the battery.Make **Secure and Neat Connections** .I cannot stress that enough.Do it Once>>>>>>>>>Do It Right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif .I hope this helps you to some degree.Maybe someone can chime in who may have a CRX,and knows where there is a Grommet. One more thing is Not to get a drill and bit and blow a hole through the firewall,,,,,,,,,There may be something behind a spot that looks good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif .Take Care and good luck with your system.
