Cable and fuse size for Big 3

Thinking about doing the big 3. The car is a 1991 dodge dynasty. From what I have read, it is good to go with larger cable. Is this correct (altenator is stock)? If so, I am going to order 1/0 gauge. Also, I am going to be running a 4 channel amp and a 1 channel amp. They total 160 amp fuses. Would it be a good idea to go with a 200 amp fuse close to the battery (cable from altenator to battery)? This all seems right based on what I have read, but I am afraid I may have missed something. As always, any help help is appreciated. Thanks

you need to have a fuse rating that is close to the amp output of your amp for your big three (battery + to alternator + wiring.0

as for the battery to amps fuse, need to use a distro block. it will have one input, two fuses, and exit to two ouputs for wires that will go to your amp. for those, get fuse ratings that are close the the fuse rating of each amp. some people only use one fuse and then split the wires to each amp, but i prefer fusing each wire

How would you fuse only once? You'd have to fuse for the rating of only ONE of the wires...which would mean to not blow that fuse your current draw would have to below the rating on one wire. So why even have a second run if that's the case?

Thanks for the help guys. I just ordered the cables, terminal ends, fuse and fuse holder from Knu Koncepts. The place I am having install the amps will put in the distribution block and the fuses for the amps. I think I should be good now. Thanks Again
