what an a-hole... who charges $100 to anyone for some cuts, let alone someone you know. it probably took him a half-hour. i'd break his windows in the middle of the night, then probably pee on the side of the building.

Even Home Depot doesn't charge that much...the first few cuts are free, thereafter its .50 each cut, I think. BUT....also gotta ask if the saw is square...otherwise you'll end up with cuts that are tapered (meaning, the pieces of wood cut won't be square).

Sometimes they don't even remember to charge you to cut it at HD. I had a sheet of MDF cut on Wednesday for a 38x15x17 box I was building, and they cut all the wood and then didn't charge me anything for it. I just figure the cashier was being nice. What does it usually cost at HD for them to cut up a basic box?

at home depot the first 2 cuts are free and then each additional cut after that is $0.50

thats some bullshit i just went to the local shop and had a 4x8 sheet of baltic birch cut for my box and it only cost me 12 bucks thats with plotting it out and having it cut on the panel saw....
