provoking is one thing, but laying a 2 hander on a guy from behind the net is poor discipline on Ribero's part. They did dish out some penaltys after the buzzer though, I did hear a 10 min misconduct, dont know if a match penalty was called or not, but that automaticly goes under review. We will see... Looking forward to a TOUGH game in Dallas!

I agree, but if Dallas gets schooled again, it will get ugly and dangerous for the wWings. Hats off to the Avs because they got shut down hard, and did not take any runs at Detroit players. Good sportsmanship despite the way the series went. I think if the series goes 3-0 then the refs are going to tighten the reigns a bit.. They will have to.

I DO wonder when Franzen actually got injured though, because he was slashed at the end of game 1 in the Dallas series, and playoff injuries are not always what they are reported to be.

Ribeiro comes in and Osgood pokes him in the face with his stick, then he slashes Osgood on the shoulder. Detroit really didn't have their enforcers on the ice.

Did Ribiero do anything to get the stick in the face?

We won at Detroit without Franzen. This is going to be a rough game in Dallas without him again.

I see Detroit taking it, and that means a ton coming from me.
However, if the Pens get past the Flyers, I think they could surprise some people.

I agree, Pittsburgh is NOT to be taken lightly. But I personally don't see Hitchcock letting the Red Wings take anyone lightly. There is too much at stake.

The Pens have a 3-headed scoring monster in Crosby, Malkin, and Hossa.

I know Franzen isn't an accomplished scorer in this league yet but he's hot right now. And as long as his concussion isn't that bad and he's back for game 4 he could be VERY dangerous as well.

Both goaltenders played pretty well. I missed the 1st period watching the Pistons game and that was when all the scoring started. After the game ended, Riberio just took his stick and busted it over Osgood's shoulder.

I watched the game on VS last night and it was like they were Dallas fans. All these guys could talk about was how many more scoring chances Dallas had compared to game 1 and how much better they were playing. Maybe they're just trying to sell this as a close series to better the ratings. I don't know. Yes, Turco played well when he wasn't tripping and hitting Holmstrom in the back of the head. But these commentators weren't mentioning Ozzie much at all and he had a BETTER game in my opinion. But then, I am biased of course.

Pimpedout, you really make me laugh. I didnt know that this thread meant that much to you that you continually have to bring up "lolz 1LLad3lPh". Your making yourself look very childish, and if it city names and their abbreviations/alternates/nicknames mean that much to you, Ill gladly change it.

And you cant expect a team with a great defense to have a goalie with poor stats.
