Bypassing error code 3 on mrd m500?

Hi, i've had a alpine mrd m500 for about a year now just sitting. I let a friend borrow it and he's a dumbass and he put it into this error code which is excessive current. Is there an internal battery or other way to bypass having to buy a $129 amp remote to reset it?
