Bye Bye voice coils...

Nah.. Im not really looking for crazy powerful subs.. i just want it to play properly..

Sure i would love to adjust my gain to exactly match the subs specifications.. but as i said earlier i was not sure how to do that. Im sure i can find out through a little web searching though. Cant be rocket science..

buy the audiobahn aw1208t's there good subs for the price i had a set about a year ago they took 2 memphis 16-mc1000d amps easly in a 1.5 per chamber vented box tuned to 38hz. so its all ur choice but good luck.

Audiobahn speakers are notorious for being overated for power handling, the max RMS for the pair was probably closer to 1500watts.
That along with inproper settings would easily lead to the situation you described.

i wouldnt be comfertable with sending each of them subs 700 watts to be honest.

the max id give them is about 500 watts, before impedance rise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

because audiobahns rating, is just like that amplifiers model number - peak power. cut "1100" in half, and thats more likely around the RMS id say //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
