well the police wouldnt let us even shoot the cow that was still alive, you know we were trying to be humane, but they wouldnt let

Years ago woke up to an ungodly explosion, thought an airplane went down or something. Got up, lots of people stopped in the highway.

Proceeded to drive about a mile down the road to see what happened. An 18 wheeler had hit a bull, truck looked like a bomb had gone off inside of it but the driver was fine. Bull was down but still alive.

State trooper shot the bull after he got there. Took a few quick rounds of I believe 9mm to the head to dispatch the bull.

I had no idea an animal could do that kind of damage to an 18 wheeler tractor. Only thing I've ever hit before was a deer, it didn't do much to the vehicle.

well on the flipside to a truck i bought a new 2011 chevy cruze. dont know how imma do the sound yet as you cannot put an aftermarket deck in it(no dashkit, wire harness). but ill probably just use a line out converter to create a sub channel and toss my dd2510 in there for the time being just need to find an amp and buy a 4awg amp kit

Please return it and get a truck........remember the cow.......remember what will happen if you do that again. Get a diesel, a Ram. You can fit 2 group 31's under the hood.

i agree with both of you. the truck would've been very nice but thinking about it i realized that i just bought a brand new car with 10 miles on it for the same price that i could get a 06 dodge 2500 diesel 4x4 with 125000miles on it. just couldn't justify it. and the gas mileage of 26 city and 36hwy just pushed the idea though my head

That cummins with 125,000 miles is in the same shape as a gas jobby with 10 miles on it. And so the diesel gets 18 city and 25 highway, can you tow anything or haul wood or anything with yer car? Are as safe in a car? Do you have 4x in the winter when there is a foot of snow on the ground?

Very true but seeing as I don't see the country very often and it doesn't snow much in Louisiana 4x4 isn't needed and having a bumper to bumper warranty is a plus and I do have access to a pickup for bed hauling and light towing. So as long as I don't have to tow anything heavy I'll be ok. And living in the city the car is just easier to drive parallel parking that truck wouldve been a pain.

Yea can't argue that I'll get another truck sooner or later this was just a situation where I needed a vehicle fast and I like the car so I got it

Yea especially when injectors for that cummins are 2000 per side of that engine to replace

Ummm......06 cummins has 6 injectors, all on one side. Cost for new tips = $5-600, to replace all the bodies as well....yeah $2000. But only one side...lol. I get what yer sayin though.

Yea I'm used to the v8 diesels for got the cummins were inline sixers but yea parts are a lot more expensive and they are alot harder to work on do to everything being so heavy and compacted

Yeah, but you never have to crack a cummins open. Everything is external......injectors, intake, fuel pumps/filters.....etc. Rarely have I ever heard of someone melting a piston, or burning up rings in a cummins.
