bx2005d or xx-hercules?

Just looking for some opinions..the bx2005d is cheaper than the xx-hercules..but I'm not sure how they compare.

hercules is by far a better amp. the bx2005 will make the cut, but the herc will be better. i was stuck on the same decition for two 15" type-Rs, and chose the hercules.

Ok good good that's what I thought. You get what you pay for yanno, usually the cheaper amp will do worse if they both have the similar specs.

But, my delimma is different. My L7's are built only to run on 2 ohm or .5 ohms, not one ohm which is the best setting for the Herc.

Will the herc still push them nicely at 2 ohms, or should I be looking for a different amp?

hmm, i havent wired my herc up yet its still on the way. Running itat 2 ohms its pushing about 1300RMS correct? I know it can run at .5 ohms, but its gonna be a lotta wattage for the L7's, although im pretty sure they can handle it. I dont have personal experience tho.

Theres amps out there that are a better fit, but if your set on hifonics, it will work.

Oh really? I didn't know it was .5 ohms stable?..can you give me a site with the specs that say that?? If it isn't too troublesome.

It wont be rated at .5 ohms. There is a couple people on here that run hercs @ .5 ohms tho i noticed, according to their sigs.

Hmm, well I'll keep it at 2 ohms unless there is some serious competition lol.

With 650 RMS to each I'm sure they'll thump like a mofo seeing as how that is 100 percent true rated power since this amp is so legendary.

The Herc is .5 ohm stable daily

if there two 15" L7's then they'll love .5 ohm and wang off it

Ah, but it says 1 ohm stable. Weird, I wish they'd just fess up and say that it is .5 ohms yanno. But, you're 100 percent sure on this? I don't wanna blow any expensive equipment.

herc is stable @ .5 daily guaranteed

not like youll see .5 anyway with imp rise

not to change your mind or anything but you could go for a sundown and they are stable down to .5 in the warranty. Just something to think about. Or y don't you get something rated at 2000 x 1 at 2 ohms.

Kewl. I'm gonna have to get a diagram for .5 hookup on mine lol.

Sundown?..havn't heard of it..and the reason I don't is because I'm not good at finding amps.
