Old head into SQ now
First a little background. I have recently installed a Kenwood HU with an Alpine Flex4 (bridged) for my front components and an Xtant A6001 for my sub. Yes, OG amps. 4 awg power and ground, HU power wire straight to battery.
Power and remote down the drivers side, RCA and speaker wires down the passenger side, (huge Hertz crossovers under pass. seat). Daisy chaining the remote wire from my Sub amp first, then to my Alpine amp. Power distribution block for both amps and ground block for both amps too (sanded off paint for common ground point in trunk).
So, everything was hooked up except my ground wire for my Xtant amp (accidentally fell out, not tight enough). I turned on system, front stage sounded amazing. Then after I realized my sub amp’s ground wire fell out, I tightened it and sub sounds great...except now after tightening the sub amp’s ground wire I have a faint but high pitch buzzing sound coming from my right side tweeter only. When my volume is low you can hear it.
This is only audible when the engine is turned on and as RPMs go up, the buzz/whine goes up too.
Ground loop, correct?
I've done 8 installs in my life and have never had a ground loop. My car is an 2009 Sonata. Any thoughts as why it’s only coming from my right side?
