Hey so I got some help, and I know where im going to buy everything off of.

The 2 Type R 12" Alpines off of ikesound.com

Pioneer HU Deh-5500MP or something like that off ikesound.com

and My Soundstream Picasso 2 series off of http://www.etronics.com

I was just wondering if this really sounds safe, I want to buy them and have someone here install them at somewhere safe, but is there anything like if something goes wrong you cant return it or whatever?

get my drift?

You should be fine...I've ordered from both sites before and never had a problem. But the best way to prevent something from going wrong is to install it yourself. A shop installing it views you as money in the bank, and they don't value your equipment as much as you do. If you install it yourself, you'll know exactly what is going on, you can take your time, you'll save money, and you'll feel better in the end.

Well, the thing is, I don't really know jack about installing anything, unless I would. Plus I really don't have anyone in my neighborhood that could help me.

I guess once I get the parts I will decide, I could catch on pretty quick and know a thing or 2.

None of us knew anytihng about installation when we first started on car audio. You'll learn, its easy. good luck.

I guess what bones was referring to is - if anything goes wrong with the unit within the warranty period, will the manufacturer honour the warranty, even though the unit wasnt purchased from a regular store?

also, what if the unit itself is defective when you receive it? I've had that happen once and luckily the online retailer shipped me a new one through the RMA process.

mftr wont honor warranty if its purcahsed from a NONauthorized dealer.dealers should have a return policy, and if they dont i wouldnt buy from them.
