Hi i currently run a Pioneer DEH line HU and 2 alpine type r DVC 10" subs in a prefab ported box.

I was running a 500.2 fosgate amp but i am not getting what i want from it.

I have the power with my yellow top optima battery and 0 gauge wire but i want more RMS amps.

I would like to know if it is ok to go with one 1500.1 mono class d hi fonics and power both subs or just get 2 1000.1 hi fonics mono class d amps, so one for each sub?

I believe these type r's can handle 1800 watts peak so i would image the 1000 watts the hi fonics claims would be fine but only for one sub and i should run another for the second sub.... Am i wrong? Please help.

im sorry i really guess i was asking 2 questions:

One 1500.1 amp for two alpine type r 10 dvc's

OR

Two 1000.1 amps for the same subs.

Ok, also can someone link the best wiring diagram for these alpine type r's? They are DVC 4ohm i believe.

I mean wiring to run into the mono block amp to pull most watts so i guess down to 1 ohm?

Since you have been such a great help could you please quote out a amp from your line that will fit my needs well. Your website depicts a well built underground item.

OP for the record you need to look at the RMS rating not peak power, RMS is what the subs can take consistently peak power is what the sub can take at one instant. However, you can probably give the pair 1500 RMS as long as you don't clip them.

well i am looking at the power acoustics BAMF 2000.1 and the hi fonics 1500.1 those are both under $200 i hope that isn't insulting but i understand if your brand demands more.

well the bamf is garbage ,dont even consider it .the hifonics does close to rated power but very dirty ,you get what you pay for, for 230 i can do the american bass vfl 80.1 shipped ,better amp than both of the ones you are looking at .and underrated as well

The VFL series is a very good amp at that price. Another to consider is the MB Quart ONX1600.1. they are known to put out decent clean power on a budget, the Hifonics HFi Series is their bottom of the line stuff.
