Buying an xs d6500, what to know before I buy?

I'm looking to buy one of these local later. how can I test it to make sure that it works well? is checking the resting voltage all I can do?

yes test the resting voltage and take a battery tester and test it.

Having it tested at a shop would work.I think resting voltage is half of the equation.other half is age of the battery and how it was used/maintained prior to you purchasing it.
