Buying a new amp

I'm thinking of getting Clarion DPX1851 for $200 on Crutchfield, if anyone has information on how well it performs I'd appreciate some input. My price range is $250, if there are any other mono amps out there that are better for the money please tell me.

I have no experience with Clarion amps - Alpine, JL Audio and Rockford Fosgate is my experience. When it comes to a Class D Mono amp, the best of the three manufacturers I have experience with is JL Audio. I had a JL Audio Slash v2 Series 500/1v2 and that bad boy was awesome! Unfortunately, too big to fit into my new ride, so I had to let her go.

How about the JL Audio G Series G1700? Dealercostcaraudio.com has it for $275.95. Crutchfield is selling it for $419.99, so you can find better deals.
