buying a fan for amps..

hey i have a hifonics nx600 (150 wattsx2 @ 4 ohms) and a modded MTX 1501d (800x1@4 ohms). the amps get awful hot when i play them for just 30 minutes at a moderately high to high volume. im worried that i may overheat them? where can i buy a fan and should i? if so, how can i mount them without using an amp rack? my amps are mounted onto the backseats of the rear fold-down seats (in the trunk).

Most computer fans (like in the PS) run on 12V aswell.

Mount them so that they circulate air over the amp's heatsinks.

I have 2 of these here if your interested, new in package. (you can actualy get them from there site there)

there great fans, hit up a computer store, ask them for either antec fans or panaflow.

they all run off 12v's...

one fan is better than none, but two is better than one. You hook the fan up with a relay switched on by the remote wire

Pick up some Vantec Tornado's. You should only need 1 or 2. Them shits push air.

gotta look at the CFM of a fan man, you can get em for 2$ but if they move like 12cfm compared to a 8$ fan that will move 32cfm,like c'mon spend the 8$

its better to have 2. 1 intake fan, 1 exhaust..

if you grab a PC fan, you just cut the end, and splice the 2 wires, power & ground, some have a third wire, not needed.
