hmm, in a ported box it may, but then you are risking trunk real estate. you are in a quandry!

My pair of ID8D2V3's takes up 1.69 cubic feet and its ported and tuned at 34Hz. Sounds amazing.

The reason I went with a 12 is so I can try and conserve trunk space. Will this amp produce brain rattling bass with one 12? I was thinking one 12 and a nice amp for around $500 is all I need.

Ok now we are getting some where, I take it this is your true goal. 1st to answer your question NO it won't. It will give you crisp clear bass but by no means be any where near brain rattling. If you want that AND trunk space you need an SPL orientated subwoofer like an Fi, DC or SPLX-HX 12, put it in a small custom made box with a big port with at least 2,000 watts and then you will be happy. $500 is all you need to accomplish your goal if done properly, just stay away from JL unless SQ and SQ only is your desire and thats a fact.
