Buy more or upgrade?

I had my system set up and installed for about 2 weeks. Sounded amazing for a week. Now it doesn't sound loud at all. What are my options to getting louder???

buy new (better) subs?

buy more subs?

I have 2 Infinity Kappa 12.1. They are pretty good IMO, and I can fit 4 12's in my trunk... so I'm thinking I might buy 2 more and a new amp. Or should I stick with 2 subs and get better quality subs? I don't really want to waste my money but I need my music playing louder. I'm partially deaf to start so I need to finish my ears off. Wat do you guys think?

BTW, I'm looking to add speakers around my car too... Any suggestions where to put them? I only have 4 door speakers so far... I want to add like 4 more. Any suggestions where to put them? BTW, it's in a Contour..lol.. I know bad car.. but I like it so don't hate on the car.
