What sub is it anyway ?

12'' powerbass 3xl dvc, but im not sure how to remove the cap without potentially harming the sub. oh and fyi it doesnt even work when I push down on it anymore.

pics, pics, pics, lol....... is it the one with the big "X" on the cone? is it just the one side? first thing you need to do is check which coil. use a 9v battery, and wire it to the terminals in question. then pretty much poke at the tinsel wires from the terminals, through the spider and all the way to where it goes into the cone. odds are, it will either be at the cone, or edge of the spider.
