Burning Wood Smell Port

Just tonight the port has started spewing this smell like burning wood. Definitely not the coil smell that I am used to so its making me question what is going on here.

My hypothesis is some leftover old sawdust got kicked up into the coil and burned up.

Pull sub out and inspect box for burn marks. If if burned it will forsure be black so itll be easy to spot

Does it happen at certain times? like when your going full tilt or jjust daily music?

You could pull it out. run it and see if there is any sawdust coming out.

Hell you could put some fragrance oil on the VC and have a great smelling bass. lol

Didn't vacuum out all the sawdust 1st before installing subs in the box did ya??!!

I'd pull the subs but they are stuck. At the moment i'm bumping with no woodscrews

Yes

Make sure they're tight. If they loosen up it'll get really hot and you can melt/burn stuff.

I ran the speaker wire from each sub out the port. both at two ohms then ran into the amp using both + and - terminals to get a 1ohm.

I **** you not i have a earth shattering increase in DB's, not a single heat spot on the amp or dustcaps, but a little smell when i got real crazy with the knob at idle.

I am gonna get this ***** term labbed
