Been reading through these forums for a few weeks and usually got all info needed without signing up.
Last few days ive smelled a distinct "electrical" burning smell coming, i think from the sub/amp.Havnt pinpointed it yet, usually happens at the worst time.
It has only really happened when playing very heavy bass tracks (bass songs, THX boston acoustics bass test, for example).
Got the sub used but only about 2 months old before i got it (guy wasnt happy with SPL) Im more about SQ and wanted to try this exact sub. Sounds so much cleaner and hits just as hard as my old rockford p2.
Gain/bass boost are both set right in the middle-think gain setting is ok but not sure...when i first got it I played it extremely hard with gain set at 3/4 for short periods and never noticed anything.
LP filter is set at about 75-80

The fact its used and ive pushed it since ive had makes me almost sure its not glue, plus its got more of a electrical type burning smell to it.
Theres no kind of distortion whatsoever about the time it starts, and im not even sure its the sub.
Really just wondering if anyone has had experience with this setup or one similar and ran into problems and or suggestions.
