Burning plastic smell after install?

Hey guys,

I recently installed two amps and two subs in my car. I used a I/0 gauge power wire to a disto block to two 4 gauge power wires. the ground wires are two four gauge wire connected to the top of the trunk. Also ran the remote wire into one amp and another wire from that remote to the other amp. Everything was great until four days later when I got out of my car to go to the bathroom, I smelled what smells like plastic burning. I lifted the hood, and that seems to be where the source of the smell is coming from. No smoke that i noticed, just the smell. It only starts to smell once the car is running for awhile, and even smells when i don't play the subs. I have checked underneath my car for a plastic bag or any clues of the smell and haven't found anything. Do you think that this is related to the audio install? I didnt do the install myself, I had a shop do it. also anything that I could look for?

Thanks in advanced //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
