SWINE FLU!!!!
this is my first box. the only reason the glue is messy is because i'll be painting it at work, and it will sand right off so i only wiped it good enough to not get it on the carpet.

all in all, the only trouble i had was joining the first two pieces, but then i figured out a better way then what you see in the third pic, which was leaning the woodclamps on the floor.

cashed in all my change from the last month(i empty my pockets every day and don't ever use change even if my total is like 5.02) and got 93 dollars, so i went out and bought four woodclamps, some glue, and put the rest in my gas tank.

on with the pics.

this is my cutsheet.

Looks pretty good for your first box.
A hell of a lot better than my first attempt, I'll tell you that much. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
that's because i had the luxury of coming onto this forum and getting everyones tips and learning from everyone ELSES mistakes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

which color are you painting it or did i miss that.
single stage black to match my false bottom, even though i have to redo my falsebottom because my box is bigger than planned, so i had to move my amps forward to compensate for that

o i know you said paint i was just stating that you should carpet personally i think it look beter but its your box not mine lol
i liked the carpet look before i started redoing my backseat, but now everything behind my seat is getting painted gloss black, and my interior is black, so carpet would look silly and out of place, but that's just me.

this is my false bottom...

did you put 45's in the box?
no. i'm a noob and this was my first box. i really just concentrated on making sure it was done and in my car by the end of the night. but if i end up not fiberglassing my 4 8''s when i get around to getting them, i'll be building a new box anyway because i don't like how this one fits very much...

that was MY design BTW...

looks good mang
you're design that was too deep BTW.

but thanks though, now i just have to redo my false bottom to account for the amps being pushed forward..

I've found it MUCH easier to attach the front to the bottom, then work counter-clockwise from there, then slap on the top.

Looks good for your first try. 2nd one will be easier and so on...
