building a ported sub box - do i NEED to buy any special parts online?

like port tubes or any other box hardware? or can I pick these up at local stores?

i'm trying to take advantage of the free shipping offer at crutchfield but if I can buy this stuff locally for cheaper i'll just do that.

Terminal cup maybe?

-around $5-$8 localy

-Internet(unless your using PVC or something other than aeros)

Tools, glue etc.

terminal cup you can get at radio snack or maybe a local stereo shop, port you can use pvc pipe from the hardware store, round the edges with a file

if you are going to use round ports buy aero ports online, i used 4inch pvc and it make quite a bit of port noise.

yes i have experienced the port noise from pvc pipe.

I have never had noise out of pvc pipe. File the edges and make sure your port is big enough. I like aeros better though cause they look nice, but if you are cheap just go down into the basement and start ripping pipe out.
