I am planning on installing my first after market sound system. My cousin is giving me his Alpine M500 amp and Polk Audio Momo 12” Sub. I have $700-750 to spend and I need front speakers , rear speakers, an amp and a headunit.

I have read a lot of good things about ID speakers and have come up with the following setup:

Headunit: Kenwood KDC-X493

Front speakers: ID ctx65cs

Rear speakers: ID ctx69

Speaker Amplifier: Alpine f600

Sub Amplifier: Alpine m500

Sub: Polk Audio Momo 12”

I would like to know what you think of this system and whether I can get something better for the money. I don’t have any experience with high end audio; I just want to get something that provides respectable SQ for all passengers in the car. I listen to heavy metal, trance/house and R&B.

Thank you for your imput!

If you can find the Kenwood 492 on ebay get it it is a 24 bit DAC deck

Forget the rear speakers and get a really good component set up front and spend the money getting the set installed good! CTX are fine but if you drop the rears a CX set becomes affordable.
