Budget 6.5 component w/ good mid bass

Thanks that narrows it down .. lol I do appreciate the help I will continue to do some research. The Pwx 8" that was suggested early on looks good can someone recommend a tweeter that would go well with those? It looks like "pro audio drivers" are not as good In SQ but will play loader? Is this true

To be honest this pwx plays cleaner and smoother than all the "sq" drivers i owned. A lot less eq needed as well vs sq drivers. I regret dropping money on cdt, phd, jbl. Etc..

Also nobody has commented on running 2 mids in the front door ? I see it all over the place but have read there issues with group delay and cancellation? Don't know much about just woundering if it's a good idea. Reason I was thinking about it was the extra volume and midbass from running more speakers but don't want rear fill. And running two sets of the same size would be easier then running 3 way ?
You're not looking at anything in terms of bass that justifies two pairs of mids up front. One set of low-mid 90s sensitivity mid-woofers and good soft or metal dome tweeters on a separate amplifier should get plenty loud with 1 10" subwoofer, even if it's a high-efficiency enclosure.

Hey guys. I've been doing some more resource on raw drivers for my front components so far I have come up with the NVX tweeters (xsptw) I think there are a rebranded SB acostic tweeter. I have heard nothing but great reviews and supposedly they can be played fairly low (1900hz)? I'm looking for a mid to go with them. Right now my top choice is the SB acostic (sb17crc35). Has anyone here heard these or have any experience with any SB acostic mids? Looking for something that will play load with good midbass. If anyone has any info on these please share. Thank you

I've personally use those tweets. They are really nice for the money. You really can't go wrong with them. I've heard but never owned that SB mid and it was pretty solid. It won't have the authority of the 8" mentioned already though. I subscribe to the theory of getting as much cone area as possible given space requirements.

So how do you hook up two speakers that have different rms ratings?

Like that mid takes 200rms. The tweeter takes 80. Do you use one amp for the two mids and one amp for the highs?

Hmm I think you just helped me find my front stage. That 8" only goes down to 75hz though.
depends on how much airspace you have in your doors, can easily do 50hz with a good amount of airspace. Your sub stage should play up to 70hz for a good blend anyways unless you like the low note wonder boxes/sub setups.

you need an active capable head unit or digital sound processor and then either two 2 channel amps or one 4 channel amp. Each mid and tweeter gets their own channel. They need to be crossed over properly to match your vehicle acoustics as well.

sub gen fills in the rest

i prefer this tweet the most //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i dont like the harshness of super tweeters
I have the sb acoustics neo 29 which is the exact one. Its decent but its vastly inferior to my massive ckx tweets or CT-2 german silk tweets. Its like a wet towel over the tweeter in comparison even after a perfect tune. the driver cant get close to the clarity a cheap pair of massives can get nor the output no matter what crossover point or EQ slope you try to build. If it was good i would have switched out the massives already.... Plus the sb acoustics sound like sh*t crossed low. They need to be crossed 4khz and up to bring out any proper detail in the upper registry. their power handling tanks hard crossed low as well.. Dont even bother thinking of going off axis. Not even 20 degrees off axis.. the performance tanks extra hard when not directly facing your ears.

Not that the sb acoustics tweeter s*cks.. its smooth and fairly linear but its basically lifeless when it comes to detail and airyness. in comparison of course. power handling is right on point with the sb acoustics, They cant handle much more than rated even at higher crossover points, they stress out and break up compared to the massive tweeter with less rms ratings which took almost double RMS before stressing out.

just a lil rant on some buyer's remorse. If I have not heard better, i would have loved this tweet but sadly there's better out there for much cheaper.
