Well, it certainly didn't sound like you were taking responsibility for this in the beginning, pinning everything on how Fi would handle their mistake that they made :S

if i would have came into this thread taking responsibility this thread would probably be nonstop flaming...i started this thread to see if i was the only one having problems with it...i wasnt planning to start any of this.

i'll admit one thing i did wrong, i bought the btl without having enough clean power to push it properly.

i bottomed it out maybe 2-3 times at the most, for less than 2 seconds at a time. the only times i can recall it bottoming out were the times in that vid when i was playing bass i love you and hoods run down.

and i did not want to blame Fi at all.

has anyone else had trouble with tinsel slap? i didn't notice mine until today, it actually wore out holes into the spider where they were hitting. i've only been giving the sub maybe 2k true power after impedance rise

umm...looks pretty true to me. i doubt that sub was seeing much more than 2k watts after all variables factored in.

but w/e....im off to work.

I dont own any FI subs, but I think i'll call Scott too and get a free recone for some old 1986 Cerwin Vega's I got laying around, I blew them when I was a kid, im sure my story will pan out too.
