The amp was clipping because, you had it wired how low KB? It's just common sense. With a better amp, that sub would be louder than the two R's, just so you know.

i know i'm the one to blame but i was told by someone else that their herc put out a very clean signal all the way down to .175....i learned my lesson i guess.

i pay for all my audio...so i'll get a new sub whenever i please whether someone thousands of miles away on the internet thinks i do or don't deserve it.

i paid 379 dollars for it. i'll abuse it, give it a dirty *** signal at .35 at 10 hz wide open if i want, hell if i feel like it i'll take a shit in the cone and make a vid of the excursion throwing it off. it's my sub, and i can do w/e i want with it.

yes, the whole time i knew i was sending a somewhat dirty signal to it. but when i turned it down enough to make the clipping light settle, it plain out SUCKED. it was not loud enough, and i wanted it louder. so i turned it up. if you don't like it, leave the thread alone.

and once again, i'm not saying its true it's just what i was told. he said he put an oscope to it and got a perfect sine wave every time.

ya....but you had different problems...yours actually went into protect. and mine was at .35, not .5. pretty good sized difference. i'll be running it at .5 for a while to see how it does.

The DCR on the BTL coils is .7ohms, but parellel the sub out and measure it with a DMM and you'll see it float b/w .4-.5ohms, this is the NOMINAL impedance...

Also, you are an r-tard. I bet you didn't even know what you were doing, but now you just shrug it off saying that you knew you were fuucking it up.

If I was Fi, I would have told you to go fuck yourself, you're an ignorant little kid that doesn't have a clue on how to set shit up properly. If it's not loud enough, and you have TONS of money to burn... get a BETTER AMP with MORE POWER.

I bet you wouldn't be so lackidasical if Fi didn't offer you a free recone. Go burn your money on another subwoofer you'll inevitably screw up... and maybe this time you'll get stuck with it... I guess that's what companies count on... ignorant kids needing to repeatedly buy new stuff b/c they don't know how to properly set it up.

yea, i've wired it in parallel and it did what you are saying...and if you're gonna say that i'm lying to shrug it off i have a pic of the DMM reading it at .5 and .4.

the herc has a clipping light...i think i'd know when i was pushing it even the slightest bit too hard.

and i don't have money to burn...i had to work my *** off every day after school for weeks to cover my gas every week, half the insurance i have to pay, and then have money to buy this sub.

i'll admit one thing i did wrong, i bought the btl without having enough clean power to push it properly.

and my next set up will be set up right, because i found subs effiecient enough to get decently loud off the current power i have. happy?

i'm not gonna keep arguing this over the internet.
