To any of you that might have some helpful information, I blew this chip under my heat sink and am looking for the part number and where I might be able to locate it?

it may have a pn on it....pull it and look

ok Im assuming I just flip that tab up and pull the chip to try and find the pn... I recieved a quote from Amp Repair Center and they were going to charge me $155 for service. Does that seem legit? I dont want to put a lot of money in this amp if I can just end up finding one cheaper for the same amount of power

did your 1606d have the same problem? Im assuming I blew a channel in the amp causing it to go into protect mode and then finally just blowing that chip up

I have no idea. All I know is that it started smokin' and now it's in protect.
