Broken Tensil at terminal: Easily fixable?

....And Denim, thanks for the input. I'll turn the gain down and most likely replace the amp I'm using at some point in the near future. I've been less than impressed with it.
Hope the local shop can help with the quick fix. May I ask what amp?

JBL GTO 3501. 360W rms at 2 ohms. I had the gain around 2/3 so I didn't think I was really pushing it too hard. I've had problems getting the type of sound I would like. I may need to take a look at my enclosure as well, it's a 1 cu ft prefab sealed box.

For a 300 watt amp that's a decent one. I don't think you'll gain much by changing your amp. Your problem is mostly in the box I would imagine, your probably overdriving the sub trying to get output since the box is so ineffecient. I'd try closer to 1.5 cubes at 30hz

I read good things about it before purchasing; wondering if I just got a lemon. I don't have the big 3 done but my front stage isn't amped so I figured it wasn't really necessary for a 360w amp and I'm not seeing any voltage drop. I have a friend with a 12" DCON in a ported box being pushed by a RF 500w amp and his setup sounds waaay better than mine. Not sure how many cubes or what it's tuned to. Guess I'll be looking into a new enclosure. No word back yet from the speaker shop on whether or not they can fix my DCON.

Like I said, it's not your amp. His 12" dcon is in a ported box, that is gong to make a huge difference in output. The dcon is a fairly low fs low Q driver, it's not going to have alot of output in a small sealed box. If you go to a moderate to small ported, it will still have great frequency response, but the lows will pick up quite a bit.

Looks like it's time to find someone to build me a box then. And I'm thinking I should probably put some sound deadener in the trunk as well.
