Broken 360 question

1 light. e-74 error. i looked around finding info on this seems eazy enough to fix. anyone have to fix this and is it straight forward like you see on youtube.

Local guy around me fixes them all the time. RRoD or bad disc drive, w/e the problem.

If the one you bought doesnt have the HDMI port than you got ripped off if it does then you're good, look on craigs list around you to find someone to do it. It's a pretty complicated process and easy to mess up if you don't do it right.

The E-74 is the RRoD issue or something directly related to it right? For that you have to take the console apart, disassemble the mobo, clean off the diodes with rubbing alcohol and go gone, then put it all back together, it sounds easy but the slightest mistake and you sink the whole system.

Note. Most people that fix them for a living will not work on them if someone has worked on it before them.

Just look on craigslist for someone around your area, it should cost you around $40 to get it fixed, but in most cases if you have the RRoD that means you also have a bad disc drive and that cost $75 on average.

Does anyone make a decent gaming system that doesn't fucking break all the time? God. Seems its either buy the gaming console that has shitty games, or buy the one that breaks every 6 months.

The 360 actually isn't bad if you keep it well ventilated and clean it off once every few months. I have had mine for nearly 2 years without any issue, but I also keep my house around 65 and have a laptop cooler under my 360 lol.

I shouldnt have to regulate the temperature of my home to an undesirable temperature to keep my gaming console working. Besides, from my research, you have about a 50/50 chance of being one of the lucky ones who bought an xbox that actually works consistently, regularly, for any decent amount of time. Your home temp may simply be an unrelated factor.

lol the ps3 i got one and dont play it it sucks that bad hands down the most boring console, xbox pwns the ps3
