Bridging.

Hi I'm fairly new to this car audio upgrading as you might be able to tell from my next question.

When bridging an amp dose it always become mono output. I was looking at the pioneer GM A404. And that has 2 different configurations for bridging 1 for mono and 1 for stereo. Most seem to have just 1 bridging option so dose that mean it's just mono. I always assumed that 2 speakers made a stero sound. So if I bridge a 4 channel amp, ie channel 1 and 3 with 1 speaker and channel 2and 4 with another speaker dose that equate to stereo sound.

Sorry for long drawn out question.

GM A4604. Sorry. Yeah I understand bridging it's just getting stereo sound rather than mono. The amp I mentioned has to different configurations for bridging 1 for mono and1 for stereo

You just need to maintain an individual left and right channel.

Each pair of channels would technically be bridged/mono, but if you have a bridged/mono left and a bridged/mono right, that's still stereo.
