bridging question

I had cartoys install an Alpine MRP F240 amp and component FoCal speakers in my front doors. My rear speakers are stock. They connected all 4 channels to all 4 speakers. I have read that the rear channel isn't necessary in most cases and was thinking about bridging the amp into 2 channels for the front speakers only. Is this a smart move and what would the wiring on the amp side look like? I am new to this but look forward to learning.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I'd also suggest using your HU to power the rear speakers just to give you something for whoever's in the back seat.
