bridging components

if i have a 4 ch amp------ 50 x 4, how do i bridge it to my comps

i know i can bridge ch 1 & 2 to one side and ch 3 & 4 to the other, but

do i still have to run 2 sets of rca from the hu for front and rear?

If I do, how will that mess with my hu fader? will the rears be on the left and the fronts be on the right?

Just did this last night actually...with a 4 ch amp.....just use 1 high quality set of RCAs and then use similar brand y connectors....run the 2 left channels into one side of amp and the 2 right channels into the other side of amp....so it would be left, left bridged and right right bridged...works quite well btw.

Y connector to use is single female to 2 male.

when you do that does it affect the line voltage at all?

you can use a daisy chain off one rca line but you will not be able to use the fader feature on your head unit. i would use two seperate rca lines.

actually you could use the fader if the rear speakers are running directly from the HU.....if no rear speakers then who cares about the fader.....or for the a sub amp, tap into the rear signal in the trunk, and use a LOC to run to a different sub amp, then the fader will control the sub and HU powered rears. Just did this all and it works very well.... I have done all sorts of installs in this manner.
