bridging amps???

is bridging amps possabl? heres a example say i have a

1000wt rms sub,and i but 2 500wt rms amps.can i bridge the amps to the subs,i am askin becuze im thing of goin with to 12in audiobahn substhere rms is like 1500 i think its overrated there really more like 1000rms, so any suggestions on a amp or amps i can run that put out 2000rms??

 
there is a few but i know the earthquake phd2 will put out like 2000 rms at 2ohms. i hope this helps there is others but i cant recall what they are. as far as bridgin amps i dont think you can.
