Bridging 4 Channel Amp to 2 SVC Subs...Single Speaker Terminal? (Quick and Easy)

After a quick search I couldn't seem to find an answer so my appologies if it has been answered before/recently.

I am helping a friend on a very budget install using a 4 channel amp to two 4 ohm single voice coil woofers.

Bridging fronts to one sub, and rears to the other sub, seperate chambers.

My question revolves around the speaker terminal. Is it possible to only use a single speaker terminal?

Would it be simply both positive outs from amp to positive speaker terminal input and 2 runs on the back side to the positives of the woofers? (and the same for the negatives.)

Or would this not work?

Thanks for your help!

find a manual on line for what ever amp you are using. or just look to see if it says "bridged" above the terminals.

sometimes it's put on the amp, like so....

You will need to choose to use ch 1 and 2, or 3 and 4, to bridge to run in mono/bridged mode on the subs,as long as the amp can handle a 2ohm bridged mode if using 2 svc 4ohm subs.Other than that, you can run two DVC 4ohm subs in a 4ohm bridged mode also, last and least..one svc sub to ea ch, of 1 and 2, or 3and 4 , in stereo mode.

That amp does not have the RCA summing feature. You will have to use RCA splitters at the amp. If you already have that, then check the gains.

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...
