Hello all,
I recently got in my possession 3x 10" MTX Blue Thunder subs wired into an Alpine MRV-502 (300w), which is bridged with an ALpine MRV-f301 (200w).
The subs are each at 12ohms, with a RMS range of 75-250w. So, together they have 4ohms of resistance.
My question is this: would my system of 500w combined be able to handle these three bass subs, in addition to four 60w 6.5" coaxial speakers?
I wish to purchase 4 x POLK AUDIO DB651 speakers, which are 60w each, also 4omhs of course. So thats 240w just to power those, with the remaining
driving the three subs, which means they would each have 86w of power.
Would I blow out my system? Could I wire the 4 speakers directly into my car head unit? (its a 1999 Chevy Astro stock head unit BTW)
Thank you!
