its a joke, u can just play it and not worry if u have your gain set right. its not bad to heat up your coils a tad on newer subs. but i would not go to the point where its getin stinky. keep an eye on them and have fun

make sure your gain is set right. dont have any bass boost on your amp and deck. oh yea dont use loud on your deck and just keep any eye on your subs. its not bad to heat the coils a tad like i said. i know some people with bad *** setup's and if they go full tilt for some time they will smell there coil's.
Why, are you afraid of breaking them in too soon? Again, for the third time, breaking a sub in is simply loosening the new spider(s). More motion means faster, and actually more thorough/uniform, loosening of the spider(s). I really dont understand why you seem to be listening to the people here who are simply telling you ghost stories their buddies past along to them, rather than listening to the few people here who are explaining exactly what the break-in period consists of.idk man, my buddy DSGBazmore has a L5 he's been beatin since May, and its still purdy stiff. But I'll jus play em normal then, jus not too too loud.... yet
