Breaking In New Subwoofers

What the **** dude??? that worse than hookin it up to the wall socket.
its a joke, u can just play it and not worry if u have your gain set right. its not bad to heat up your coils a tad on newer subs. but i would not go to the point where its getin stinky. keep an eye on them and have fun

ha I aint mad. I'm jus ready to break em in so I can go murk some of these mutha fu****s in STLS!!!
make sure your gain is set right. dont have any bass boost on your amp and deck. oh yea dont use loud on your deck and just keep any eye on your subs. its not bad to heat the coils a tad like i said. i know some people with bad ass setup's and if they go full tilt for some time they will smell there coil's.

It took about a week until my CVR's broke in when I had them. You can definately notice when they are broke in too. Was pushin 1000w between the two in sealed boxes in my truck. I played them low for about an hour, from there on out I was beatin on em.

Playing them at low volume is completely unnecessary. In fact, it will merely take longer to break them in. Playing them low for like an hour wont do anything of value other than give you some false sense of security.

kickers arent stiff at all. i wouldnt blast away right away but it shouldnt take too long, deff not as bad as my hdc3
idk man, my buddy DSGBazmore has a L5 he's been beatin since May, and its still purdy stiff. But I'll jus play em normal then, jus not too too loud.... yet:D

you should just sell the kickers for something sick //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Why, are you afraid of breaking them in too soon? Again, for the third time, breaking a sub in is simply loosening the new spider(s). More motion means faster, and actually more thorough/uniform, loosening of the spider(s). I really dont understand why you seem to be listening to the people here who are simply telling you ghost stories their buddies past along to them, rather than listening to the few people here who are explaining exactly what the break-in period consists of.

Like @maylar said, delay the turn on to the amplifier only. 3 to 5 seconds should take care of it.
